Oregon has a new tool for conserving water

Department of Environment Quality (DEQ) announced in April 2012 that they are now accepting applications for graywater permits. Graywater is “used” water from bathtubs, showers, bathroom sinks, washing machines and, in the case of graywater systems for outdoor use, water from the kitchen sinks as well.

First Residential Reach Code Project

The Reach Code is Oregon’s first optional code. State of Oregon Building Codes Division (BCD) is happy to report that the ‘first’ residential Reach Code project is going through the permitting process with the City of Portland Bureau of Development Services (BDS).
